Can I ask how you manage to sew and sew so beautifully with a toddler about? I've toyed with dragging out the sewing machine, but the logistics of it are just too daunting and it's easier to knit, where you can stuff it all in a bag and put it out of reach.
anna - the only time i sew is after max has gone to bed. my machine is on the 3rd floor (also where our photography office is) and it's not max proofed in the least bit. so he just isn't allowed to be up there. i usually do my cutting and pinning in the dining room but that's usually while he's napping or asleep too.
i have NOT mastered knitting while he's awake he wants to play with it every time i've got it out... so you've got one thing up on me :)

I think it's cool how the back fabric has scalloped stitching on it to complement the blanket shape. Very nice!

I love the wavy chenille...that's a great pattern.
